This is a hidden gem that is part of the Alaskan Inn right next to the river in the canyon. We had breakfast and it was delicious! The Hermitage is located in the Alaskan Inn and there are a few tables inside but if you have the right weather then outside seating is really peaceful. I had the biscuits and gravy, the portion size was perfect! Great, fresh ingredients, coffee was brought and left the pot, the service and General Manager stopped by to chat and they were a delight. Really a down home feel that was such a relaxing experience. The staff here are awesome and would go back in a heartbeat.

Had lunch today. Sat outside where you could hear the waters running in the stream. The view was amazing as was the food. We had hamburgers and the grilled chicken sandwich. Portions were good. The manager Brenda was a delightful host and took good care of us. We are gluten free so they made our burgers as a lettuce wrap. A great place to try.

Lovely rustic cafe on the river. Scenic drive down a beautiful canyon to get there. Cafe sits on the river. Staff and food were delightful.

And we are back in the area, so we are back at the Hermitage Inn at Alaskan Inn. Eggs cooked to perfection, delicious waffle, hot coffee, friendly service, good prices. Highly recommend.

Great relaxing outdoor location! Tasty menus! Take a ride and enjoy. Friendly service.

We were excited to try this new restaurant. The food was very good! We all had something different and each entree was excellent. The service needs training. It seems obvious that management does not know this part of the biz. Our server didnt know how to take orders or follow up on requests, and needed 3 reminders about bringing coffee. They probably should wear all black and look the part. It doesn't feel right There is outdoor seating and the grounds are truly spectacular, the Ogden river sound drowns out any car noise. Seating inside feels like you're in the lobby, not in a restaurant. Hopefully they get a liquor license soon cuz I would love a beer with my yummy food. Again the chef is talented, and I will go back because fried cheese curds, but the front of house needs work.

We have been coming to the Alaskan Inn for four years and have always wished there was a dinner option since, in the past, they had provided breakfast but not dinner. The breakfast when you stay is the same provided in the cafe. It is delicious! We have had, between my wife and I, everything on the menu, and it has never disappointed. Since this visit was the first time they had dinner. We were excited to try it. It did not disappoint. We ordered two burgers with side salads and fried cheese curds. We ordered and spent 10-15 minutes waiting for our food, enjoying the "backyard", and watching the overflowing river by the property. The food was excellent and large helpings. The salad was fresh and had good additions of cucumber, onion, and tomato. The burgers were cooked well with real cheese and bacon. 8/10 for us!
